Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar, Senior National Conference Leader and Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats has asked the people to differentiate between a party with pro-people agenda and other which is working against the cause of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Minister was addressing a gathering at the Khan Khai Mohalla here today urging the people to come forward and vote in favour of National Conference which is the only party which has always kept the interests of people as its main agenda and has given numerable sacrifices for the same. He said that certain parties like PDP and BJP are out to damage the cause of the state by dividing the people on the basis of community, religion and region. “The proximity of the two parties came before when they collectively voted to get an elected member in the recent Legislative Council.
Mr. Sagar said that PDP stands exposed before the people of the state as they could not fulfill the promises made like providing employment to every household and the so called healing touch policy. He said that time has proved that PDP was befooling the people and damaging the cause of the state by floating hypnotical ideas like self rule making political executive accountable and also concept of dual currency. It was PDP’s rule that corruption touched new heights and the state was ranked 2nd in terms of corruption and various scandals were unearthed by the Kundal Commission, he asserted.
