Under Rashtriya Madhumik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) four model schools and hostels are being established in the educationally backward areas of district Bandipora. The scheme will cater to the education needs of the students studying in 9th to 12th classes. The expenditure on this account will be borne by the Central Government.
This was disclosed in an officers meeting at Bandipora today chaired by District Development Commissioner, Bandipora, Mr. M. S. Sood. It was informed in the meeting that under the scheme students belonging to the educationally backward areas besides free education will be provided scholarships. It was said that in a first phase the model school and hostel will be established to cover Daver, Manangam and Naidkhai areas of the district where modern education facilities will be provided to the students.
The meeting was attended by District Education Officer and other senior officers of education department.
