Nagrota Constituency Development Committee constituted

To highlight the problems of people being faced due to lack of basic amenities, Senior citizens of Nagrota Constituency today constituted a united platform under the name and style of Nagrota Constituency Development Committee.
In the meeting, president of the newly formed committee Virinder Sharma criticized the functioning of govt. departments in the constituency.
He said that the 62 years of independence virtually meaningless for the people of Nagrota as they forced to live with adversities without basic amenities and the major problem is non-availability of drinking water in the Kandi areas of the constituency.
He said that pipes have been installed by PHE Rural Division but no water supply has been made properly. ‘Many times the people of Nagorta in a deputation approached the concerning officials of PHE department, government representatives and leaders of political parties to raise their demands and grievances but nothing has done so far except hollow and false assurances’, Sharma said and adding, ‘Negligence attitude of the Govt, department and leaders forced people to come on united platform to voice their grievances’.
The committee discoursed that the developmental issues of the constituency would be highlighted at every corner to pressurize the government to solve these problems and bring overall development in Nagrota.
The committee said that government officers appointed in the constituency are not working properly and only taking salaries without working and attending their offices.
Noor Muhammad Gen. Secretary of the Committee while addressing the meeting said that there are many areas in the constituency which are without basic amenities since the independence. He said that developmental activities are never taken to far flung areas of the constituency.
In the meeting, vice presidents Vijay Sharma, Madan Sharma and members Haji Fazal Din, Shahd Ali, Haji Khurshed Ali, Khurshed also spoke and highlighted the problems.
