Rs. 2.77 cr to be utilized under Total Sanitation Campaign in Kulgam

Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Mr. Manzoor Ahmed Lone chaired a meeting on Total Sanitation Campaign, here today. An amount of Rs. 2.77 crore will be utilized during the current financial year on sanitation campaign in the district. 

It was decided in the meeting that all government schools and anganwari centres of Kulgam housed in government buildings would be covered under this scheme during the current year. Household lavatories of Below Poverty Line (BPL) people will also be covered under the scheme.
It was further given out that camps and rallies will be organized for creating awareness among people regarding total sanitation campaign.
The meeting was attended by officers of Health, DRDA, Social welfare and Education Department.
