Govt constitutes committees to prepare Draft Forest policy

Government has accorded sanction to the constitution of two committees viz (First Committee and High Level
Committee) for preparation of Draft Forest Policy for the state.

Member Secretary, PCB, Mr. Mohit Gera would be the Chairman of the First Committee while as Mr. Vasu Yadan has been nominated as Member Secretary. Similarly, M. A. Tak, Mr. N. A. Darzi, Mr. R. S. Jasrotia
and a representative of Wildlife Department will be members of the committee.

The draft prepared by the Forest Committee shall be referred to the High Level Committee (HCL) for examination and finalization.

Principal Chief Conservator of Forests will be Chairman of HLC, Conservator of Forests, Central Circle its member Secretary and the Chief Conservator of Forest, Jammu and Chief Wildlife Warden will be its members.
