Kargil deputation calls on CM
A deputation from Kargil led by Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai today called on Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah here and presented him a memorandum of demands pertaining to the Kargil district. These included commercial flight to Kargil and extension of run-way, boring of a tunnel in Zoijala, de-limitation of Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency, creation of separate constituency for Kargil, opening of Kargil-Skardu road, positioning of two companies of J&K Armed Police at Kargil and filling up of vacant posts in education and health departments in Kargil district.
The Chief Minister gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured them sympathetic consideration of the Government for redressal of genuine grievances.
Other members of the delegations were Haji Nissar Ali, former Minister, Mr. Ghulam Raza, former MLA, Mr. Zaqir Hussain, Councilor, Aga Syed Hassan, Aga Hassan, Mohammad Yasin Lone and Mr. Hassan Khan.
