Parents, relatives praise Omar, for tracing missing boy

The close kins of Showkat Ahmad including his parents have hailed the Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah for his keen efforts in tracing Mr. Showkat Ahmad S/O Mohammad Ashraf Malik, who had reportedly gone missing from July 10 in New Delhi. Showkat is a resident of Mohalla Moma Shah of Kathi Darwaza, Srinagar.

In an interview today, the relatives of Mr. Showkat praised the administration for rendering a helping hand in recovering the boy, whose sudden disappearance had caused a lot of tension and uncertainty to the whole locality in Srinagar city and family of the boy in particular.

“As soon as the missing case was brought to the notice of State administration, Mr. Omar Abdullah instantly directed for initiating-coordinated efforts for ascertaining the whereabouts of the missing boy”, said Mohammad Ashraf Malik – father of the boy, adding the efforts bore fruit after the family succeeded in establishing contact with the boy yesterday evening. The boy is on way to Srinagar and is expected to arrive at home by evening today. “All our apprehensions have vanished”, he observed.

The family had also a word of praise for Minister for Rural Development, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Ganai for their cordial and caring response.
