PDD asks people to bear with unscheduled power cuts
The Chief Engineer, M&RE Wing, Jammu has appealed the electrical consumers and general public to bear with unscheduled curtailment, which is only because of distress calls received from the NRLDC. This situation is likely to continue for few days more due to harsh summer weather till rains are there.
The unscheduled power cuts are because of prevailing power crisis in North India and uncertainly in surplus power resulting in reduction of availability of power in the Northern Pool.
The electricity consumers have been further asked not to use heaters and air conditioners during peak hours.
