Minister for School Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayed has directed all Chief Education Officers (CEO) to strictly adhere to the guidelines framed for streamlining the school education in the State. The Minister said this while reviewing the overall functioning of school education department, status of civil works under SSA, implementation of mid-day meals, opening & upgradation of schools in the State at a meeting of officers here today. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister reiterated his commitment to streamline the education sector and bring in accountability in spreading quality education in the State. He said no upgradation or opening of new schools, engagement of ReTs shall be carried out unless proper codal formalities as laid down under SSA, are fulfilled. The Minister also dwelt on various initiatives being taken up by the government for expansion and upgradation of education infrastructure across the State to improve the quality and reach of education, describing it the key to socio-economic development.
