Revenue Minister inspects various works in Digiana
The Minister said this while laying the foundation stone of drainage system in Karan Bagh Gadigarh being completed at a cost of Rs. 20 lakh, here this morning.
Mr. Bhalla warned the illegal occupants to vacate government land voluntarily, otherwise, ready to face action. He said that government is planning to construct overhead tanks, tube wells, schools, colleges, civil administration offices and roads for the benefit of all sections of the society. He said that present government led by Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah has adopted a planned approach for providing relief to the people of the state. He said that development of weaker and downtrodden sections of the society is among the priorities of the government. He asked the officers to gear up its activities for ensuring completion of various works particularly under social services sector. He said that the administration has been asked to take all measures to make all possible facilities available to the people at their doorsteps.
The Minister said that coalition government is committed to connect every nook and corner of the state with nearest headquarters by providing road connectivity. He asked the executing agency to personally monitor the ongoing development works in their respective areas and complete these within stipulated time frame. He said that government has resolved to create durable assets in the state. He said that it is the duty of every officer to work with zeal and dedication and come up to the expectations of the general masses adding that government was committed to provide free and fair administration in solving the people’s problems without any delay. He said that best performers to be awarded and poor to face action.
Later, Mr. Bhalla laid foundation stone of 1 kilometer long drain from Model Town Digiana to Mirakhari in Channi Himmat, completed at a cost of Rs. 8 lakh by UEED. He asked the executing agency to complete it within prescribed time frame for the benefit of masses. Responding to the demand for construction of raising wall along the botrh sides of nallah in Model Town Digiane, he asked the R&B authorities to prepare the estimate and submit for funds so that the work could take off soon.
The Minister also inspected blacktopping work at Digiana camp being completed at a cost of Rs. 8.5 lakh. He asked the engineers to complete it within three days for the benefit of people.
At Desmash Nagar in Digiana, Mr. Bhalla inspected the ongoing construction work of Public Convenience being completed at a cost of Rs. 3 lakh by JMC.
