Painting Exhibition of Ramesh Mehta opens at Kala Kendra

“ Expressions untitled ““ a three day exhibition of latest works of veteran artists and poet Sh Ramesh Mehta was opened here at Kala Kendra this afternoon in presence of a galaxy of Artists, painters and other art lovers. Around 30 recent works are on display at Master Sansar Chand gallery of Kala Kendra . This is the seventh solo show of the works of Sh Ramesh Mehta . Prior to this his works got high appreciation and National recognition in the art field during exhibitions held at Pune and Chandighar. Eminent Hindi Poet , Scholar and painter Mehta took to Painting in the year 2002. He held his first Solo Exhibition at Jammu in the year 2003 followed by another One Man Show in 2004. He participated in the State Level Exhibition organised by the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society,New Delhi in the year 2003. He was also exhibited in the National Exhibition organised by the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi at Lucknow in 2005. In 2006 his Solo Exhibition was organized by SARHAD , a Pune based NGO, in Pune in 2006.North Zone Cultural Centre Patiala also organized his exhibition of his painting at Chandigarh in 2007. The visitors on the occasion showered full scale praises on the Paintings of Ramesh Mehta, who has grown to be a national recognizable Artist within a short span of only 6 years. His poetic sensibility (yes, he is essentially a poet with several anthologies to his credit) is immanent in all the works. The lyricism and rhythm too perhaps owes their origins to his first muse – poems. Then the vibrant palette (even in works that encapsulate turmoil) is a common leitmotif. Undisputedly, his free spirit soars high. Forms are accidental as the hint of flowers in variouse paintings displayed in the exhibition. A few obvious landscapes capture Kashmir. The interplay of colours allures as in Divine, Meditation and Wanderer.
