
To press the state govt. to concede their demands, the workers of Food and Allied Worker today stopped their routine work for three hours and staged protest dharna at various depots of CAPD Jammu. The workers shouted anti-Director slogans and termed the non-serious attitude and delaying tactics adopted by the Director CA&PD,
Jammu in implementing orders.
Speaking on the occasion, Bishan Dass, president, Food and Allied Workers’ Union J&K, expressed resentment and anguish over the non-implementation of the Government orders 190-F of 2009 dated 31-8-2009 wherein Minimum Wages have been increased by the Govt, w.e.f 10-8-2009, Govt. order NO.117-CAPD of 2009 dated 29-12-2009 regarding implementation of Provident Fund scheme; Gratuity scheme and Health Cover through ESI in favour of Hammals in CAPD Department and non-revision of l0 Kg. bag rate. The workers appealed the Minister concerned to redress the grievances of CAAPD workers solving their problems and getting the orders implemented.
