JAMMU: Academy of Hospital Administration Jammu Chapter has organized a One day training workshop for nursing professionals on “Issues in Nursing Practices” at Govt. Hospital Gandhi nagar Jammu; The training was inaugurated by Dr. Saleem Ur Rehman, DG Family welfare J&K & Director Health Services Jammu (Executive Director AHA Jammu Chapter), In Presence of Dr.Yashpal Sharma MD JKMSCL / Director Coord. New Medical Colleges Jammu (President AHA India); Dr.Jasbir Singh Ex. Director Health Services Jammu (President AHA Jammu Chapter) & Dr.Ritu Gupta Professor Physiology GMC Jammu who represented Principal & Dean GMC & AH's Jammu gmc & AH's Jammu
Dr. Arun Sharma who is Medical Superintendent Maternity Hospital Gandhi nagar and General Secretary Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA) Jammu Chapter welcomed all the dignitaries and guests. In his welcome address he thanked Dr. YashPal Sharma, Dr. Saleem Ur Rehman & Dr. Jasbir Singh for starting the orientation workshops for nursing professionals. He also highlighted the role of AHA and how it will organize similar training workshops which will benefit medical professionals. He also thanked Dr. Nariender Butyal Medical Superintendent Gandhi Nagar Hospital for supporting in organizing One day training cum orientation workshop for nursing professionals
Dr. Saleem Ur Rehman who is DG Family welfare J&K & Director Health Services Jammu in his Inaugural address has highlighted the role of Academy of hospital administration for boosting and Enchaining the knowledge and skill which are very useful for nursing professionals working in various institutions for patient health care. He also announced that the similar training will continue in entire Jammu division and 5 days training for Medical Officer shall be organized through AHA. He congratulated and paid special thanks to Dr. Yashpal Sharma.
Dr.Yashpal Sharma who is MD JKMSCL & Director Coordination New Medical Colleges Jammu & President AHA India during his Presidential address has highlighted the role and objective in the country for reshaping and establishing various health institutions in the country besides conducting professional development courses at National Head quarters Noida and other parts of the country. He assured full support to Jammu chapter AHA for organizing such courses for nurses and medical professionals at regional level and at national headquarters. He told that role of nursing professionals is very important for patient health care while delivering services in the hospital. He also showed the complete road map to improve health care in J&K by organizing such training workshops through AHA India and Jammu Chapter.
Dr. Jasbir singh who was Ex. Director Health Services Jammu and President AHA Jammu Chapter congratulated Dr Yashpal sharma, Dr Saleem ur Rehman, Dr Arun Sharma, and allthe participants and said such trainings would be a regular affair as induction programmes, refresher training or advanced trainings for all categories of staff as a routine matter and we will make standard operating procedure for all sorts of trainings.
In the training workshop more than 100 nursing professionals participated which included participants from GMC Jammu and associated hospitals (GMCH, SMGS, SSH, CD, PSYCHATRY, MCH Gandhinagar) ; from directorate of health services jammu govt hospital gandhinagar, sarwal, kot bhalwal, rs pura, akhnoor and rajive gandhi hospitals participated and private nursing colleges included stephens college and BN College of nursing & BN Institute.
The topics were presented by Prof. J.C Frank who is Principal B.N Nursing College on Medical Negligence; Mrs. Charru Jamwal who is a Nursing tutor at Govt. Nursing College Gangyal on Communication & soft skills; Mrs. Neetu Bhatnagar who is Principal B.N Nursing Institute on HR & Conflict management; Mrs. Rajni Sharma Assistant Professor Stephen College Of Nursing on Infection Control
During the day long training programme sessions were chaired by AHA Members Dr Sunita puri, Dr VK Gupta, Dr Arun Sharma, Dr Narinder Butial & Dr Krishan Kumar. The stage proceedings were conducted by Mr Sadiq Khan Mass media officer and National Trainer
The valedictory programme was chaired by Dr Yashpal Sharma President Academy of Hospital Administration India who discussed with the participants about the training programme and took their feedback. The training workshop was concluded by giving participation certificates to all the participants, resource persons and organising committee. The training was attended by many people online through google meet.
