‘PDP’s demand of stopping water to Pak is to please their BJP masters’

Abstention from voting unmasks Muftis’ duality : Omar
Describing abstention from voting yet another glaring example of double standard of father – daughter Mufti duo, the Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah Friday thrashed PDP leadership for perpetuating politics of deceit. “Their omissions and commissions have amply exposed their duality and unmasked the face”, he added.
Addressing a public meeting at Manzagam in Srinagar, he said this party’s BJP face has already got unveiled when its nexus came to fore at the time of election of MLCs and now by willfully abstaining from voting has revealed their dual policy of ‘running with the hare and hunting with the hound’.
“Thank God they have exposed their mannerism by themselves lest no one knows how long this party and its leadership would have continued to deceive the innocent people”, he maintained and asked Mr. Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Ms. Mehbooba Mufti ‘how could you ask the people to vote for your party when you have yourself abstained for voting in favour of your own party and candidate’.
Mr. Omar said seeking power by deceitful tactics and serving the interests of RSS and Sangh Parivar is the sole aim of PDP adding that this party leadership is responsible for creating confusion in the minds of people and dividing them on crucial issues. “For the fact that PDP is ‘his masters voice’ as such mumbles, fumbles, jumbles and humbles whenever situations arise for taking brave decisions”.
Mr. Omar reiterated that BJP under the advice of Jagmohan created PDP in Jammu & Kashmir. This was Jagmohan’s way of repaying Mufti in lieu of Mufti’s favour as Home Minister for making Jagmohan Governor of Jammu & Kashmir to unleash an era of atrocities and brutal force on the people of Kashmir, killing large number of innocents. The other objective of creating PDP was to dilute the voice of Autonomy that had received mass support across Jammu & Kashmir. “This party was asked to divide the people by floating imaginary like self rule, double currency, demilitarization etc ideas and scuttle the Autonomy proposal projected and piloted by National Conference and approved by the State’s Legislature”, he said , “as the true and faithful fellows of BJP Muftis’ from day first started dancing on BJPs tune and functioning strictly under its direction. It was on BJP’s behest that PDP put hurdles in the working of Mr. Gh. Nabi Azad led Congress led coalition government in the state and ultimately brought down”. He added that even this sabotage PDP leadership went to Congress centre leadership for condoning and forgiving, but were rejected vehemently. ‘ What an unabashed face this party has’, he said.
Chief Minister asked the people to beware of PDP’s designs and said that emotional blackmailing and floating hollow slogans of no consequences is the trademark of this party. ‘ Some times they raise the issue of stopping water to Pakistan by scrapping Sindh Water Treaty to please their BJP masters at New Delhi and some times they abstain from voting to befool Kashmiris’, he lambasted on the leadership of PDP for this type of double policy.
Mr. Omar said National Conference – Congress coalition in the state is as per the mandate of the people and both share the principles of secularism, unity and amity. “A new chapter in the development history of Jammu & Kashmir will be written by the government during next six years and all the promises made to people during electioneering fulfilled”, Mr. Omar asserted.
Speaking to the public meeting Sr. NC leader, MLC and candidate from Anantnag parliamentary constituency Dr. Mehboob Beg said that he is not astonished by the abstention of Mr. Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Ms Mehbooba Mufti from voting because double standard and deceit has been the trademark of their politics. “How could they convince the voters to vote for them when they have themselves skipped voting”, he questioned.
Dr. Mehboob Beg said that by seeing the mood of people and expecting defeat and rejection, the leadership of PDP has chosen the escape route by not exercising the right to vote.
