Privilege Committee meeting was held here today under the Chairmanship of Mr. Mubarak Gul, in which establishment of MLA Colony, enhancement of Constituency Development Fund (CDF), release of funds under head “Office Expenses”, appointment of PA’s to MLA on permanent basis and increase in fuel charges were threadbare discussed.
The Committee decided that the points discussed would be brought into the notice of Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah soon. Members apprised the Committee about their problems and grievances of the members including deterioration of assigned vehicles.
Chairman directed the officers of Assembly Secretariat to work with utmost dedication and ensure proper circulation of decisions taken by the Committee in the meetings, to the concerned quarters. The Committee stressed for establishment of MLA Office in every constituency.
The meeting was attended by member legislators Engineer Mr. Abdul Rashid, Peer Afaq Ahmad, Mr. Shabir Ahmad, Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani, Mr. Qmer Ali Akhoon, Mr. Sham Lal Chowdhery, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf and senior officers of Assembly Secretariat.
