Collection of data for 12th five year plan from July

3-Day Regional Training Camp of NSS concludes
The 3-days Regional Training Camp on 66th Round of National Sample Survey (NSS) concluded today. Organized jointly by National Sample Survey Organization,(NSSO) of Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Directorate of Economics and Statistics (DES) the objectives of the camp were to conduct a survey on employment, unemployment and household consumer expenditure in the State. 
Field functionaries of DSE of Kashmir Division including Leh and Kargil participated in the camp and were given on spot training and guidance from the supervisors of NSSO.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General, DSE, Mr. G.A. Qureshi impressed upon the District Statistical and Evaluation Officers and Field Investigators of the department to start the field work on 66th round from July 1, 2009 and ensure timely completion of the task. He appealed people to extend full cooperation to the field staff and provide them accurate information, particularly, regarding employment, unemployment and household consumer expenditure. 
Mr Qureshi said that 66th round of this programme was organized to prepare an accurate and reliable base of data and information for use in formulation of the 12th five year plan for the state. Present on the occasion were Dr. A. K. Yogi, Additional Director General, National Sample Survey Organization (NSSO), Director General, Economics and Statistics, Mr. G.A. Qureshi, Deputy Director General, NSSO, Mr. Deepak Rastogi, Deputy Director, DSE, Mr. Altaf Hussain Haji besides senior functionaries and district level officers of the department.
