Rather directs expeditious execution of 50- bed Pakherpora hospital

Minister for Finance, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather has said that Chrar-i-Sharief town would be developed on modern lines, adding that all the basic amenities would be provided to its people. He said that health sector, education and communication facilities would receive focused attention in the area. 
The Minister said this during his visit to different areas of Pakharpora and Chrar-i-Sharief today. He was accompanied by Managing Director, JKPCC Mr Dalip Thusoo and engineers of various departments. 
At Pakharpora, the Minister visited proposed site for constructing a 50-bed hospital measuring 10 kanals. The Minister asked the concerned for preparing the site plan of the complex within a week so that the work over the project is expeditiously taken up. 
Mr. Rather enroute to Chrar-i-Sharief also inspected Government Higher Secondary School, Pakharpora and issued on spot orders for constructing bathrooms in the school premises. 
He also visited the sub-district hospital, Chrar-i-Sharief and inspected the newly constructed indoor patient’s block where all the modern diagnostic facilities have been installed. The complex has been completed at a cost of Rs. 96 lakhs. 
The Minister also convened a meeting of officers and sought their views for constructing an additional block for the hospital. He was informed that three storey- complex can be built at the site and hospital made 80-bed with the additional provision of family quarters. He was told that the complex would house a full-fledged operation block and labour room besides the facilities of Gynecology and Neonatology. The site plan of the said complex would also be prepared within a week, the Minister was informed. Addressing senior citizens on the occasion, the Minister said that all the pre-poll promises made with the public would be kept adding that Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Dr. Farooq Abdullah is personally interested in modernization of Chrar-i-Sharief town. 
The Minister assured full funding for taking up different development project in the area, adding that the new infrastructure would be developed to tackle the problems of the area.
