Dir Agri inaugurates mushroom training camp for women farmers
A one day motivation, awareness cum training programme for women farmers was organized by International Council of Welfare and Development (regd), Jammu at village Katal-Batal, Dansal, Jammu. The programme was sponsored by Council for Advancement People Action and rural Technology (CAPART) Regional Committee, Chandigar under the aegis of Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The mushroom cultivation training camp was inaugurated by Director Agriculture, Jammu, Mrs Vinod Bala Sharma. Mrs Sharma appreciated the initiative of International Council of Welfare and Development for organizing such an informative programme and assured full support on behalf of the department. She asked participating women farmers to adopt mushroom growing as an income generating venture for their socio-economic empowerment. Other dignitaries who participated in the programme were Mr J K Kundal Mushroom Development Officer, Mr C M Sharma Subject Matter Specialist, Mr Anil Pandoh, Mr Arun Kumar Khajuria Chairman, Confederations of Associated NGOs of J&K.
