(CPI) KC welcomes Vohra’s decision to reject CM’s resignation

Welcoming the decision of Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra for rejecting the resignation of Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah, the Communist Party of India, Kashmir Council (CPIKC) has expressed hope that the coming days of the session would witness more responsible and decent behaviour by both treasury and opposition members.

During the Council meeting, the party deplored the irresponsible and indecent role played by the PDP members and said that the people do not choose their representatives for indulging in fighting and creating rowdy scenes in the assembly, rather they expect redressal of their problems from them.

The communiqué further said that the people of the state are confronted with innumerous problems like un-employment, inflation and backwardness besides inadequacy of other basic amenities. Unfortunately, the legislators instead of raising public issues ruin the session in unnecessary blame game, resulting in the degradation of democratic institutions, the communiqué added.

The party cautioned the members to restrain from playing with the future of masses and creating an atmosphere of uncertainty, suited to vested interests, as the state is hypersensitive.
