As many as 29 new road projects are being taken in hand under PMGSY with an estimated cost of Rs. 54.62 crore in the district Budgam, besides two new roads would be taken in hand for renovation and upgradation. In addition, construction of 49 new link roads in the district would also be taken up at a cost of Rs. 11.34 crore.
This information was given at Awami Darbars held by District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Mohammad Rafi at Magam and Aripathan today. Various officers of Engineering wings and other departments were present on the occasion. The departments include Irrigation and Flood Control, Health, Animal Husbandry, PDD, PHE and R&B.
The DDC heard the problems of the local people patiently and assured them that the genuine problem would be solved and grievances put-forth by them redressed gradually. The DDC in various matters instructed the concerned on-the-spot for taking necessary measures. The people in large numbers were present on these occasions.
