Training for 28 Commissioners organized by JK Scouts commences in Srinagar

JK selection for Lion’s scouts awards for best scouts initiated in training programme



J&K Scouts Organization in collaboration with Internationally reputed All India Boys Scouts and Guides organization has started CS training programme for Commissioners in Srinagar. In this connection inaugural programme started in Broadview Hotel Srinagar in which principals and chairmen of various reputed schools, volunteered themselves for the training. The training Commissioner, Mr. Nazir Ahmad is imparting training on moral aspects of the scouting. The children will be trained to help the society and provide an ideal atmosphere for extra-curricular activities for children and youth.

The organization has organized thousands of programmes during last 7 years in which national and international dignitaries participated. The organization had honour of inviting scouts of London for which members of House of Common conveyed appreciation to the organization.

The J&K Scouts also organized every year heritage rallies for preservation of Dal Lake and all heritage sites of Jammu and Kashmir. In the first of its kind rally started 7 years before, 25000 scouts participated which was a record of its kind. The rally was taken out from Pari Mahal, Cheshma Shahi, Botanical Garden, Lakes and Sheri-Khas. The scouts also worked for the protection and projection of sacred shrines throughout J&K state. The Patron Powel, the pioneer of scouting of the world has inaugurated All India Boys Scouts in sub-continent and Moulana Abul Kalam Azad was first Chief Commissioner of All India Boys Scouts in India.

The J&K Scouts in collaboration with All India Boys Scouts and Guides organized a rally in Kashmir University where representatives of All India Scouts and Guides participated in the programme. Besides, Governor and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Recently in Kashmir University a competitive talent hunt was organized where Minister for School Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed awarded hundreds of young children who were declared best talents by NASEEF. The Gold medals were also given on the occasion among winners.

In the training programme the Commissioners will be motivated to do one good work every day and help maintain eco-friendly system in the Valley. Recently J&K Scouts had honour to pay farewell to 22 ambassadors of different countries who were successfully invited by TD for participation in Autumn Ambassadors Golf Cup.

The organization honoured MP, Dr. Mehboob Beig, Vice Chancellor, Central University Prof. Abdul Wahid and other dignitaries in one of the most impressive function organized by Chairman SSM College, Professor Parry in the College. It was decided on the same occasion that 22 chairmen and principals of 28 educational institutions who volunteered themselves for the training. The training will be entitle for participation for Lions Scout Award. The first Lion Scout of J&K State was Sheri Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.
