Kisan Union demonstrates against global warming

A massive demonstration was held at Ghagwal to show their concern against global warming. Prominent citizens Chuni Lal, Karan Singh President Kisan Union district Samba, Radhey Shyam Sharma Vice President Kisan Union, Jagroop Singh, retd Lecturer, Vinod Sharma, Parveen Kumar Didar Singh led the demonstration.

Large number of men, women, young and old participated and expressed their concern in the light of UN Summit in Copenhagen.

Highlighting the present pollution scenario, speakers described it too horrible the existing polluted and poisoned atmosphere in which 40% deaths occur due to air pollution, contaminated water and soil infectivity. Glaciers are melting rapidly to the point that posing a drastic threat to the whole humanity, they said. The role of various countries which are responsible for enormous carbon emission in the atmosphere besides duplicity of the developed countries in the light of the UN Summit was also discussed on this occasion. The developed countries dictate their terms to the under-developed/developing countries but do not adhere those terms for them.

The demonstrators later took a procession which passed through various locations and schools thereby making fresh move of awareness about the rising pollution in the atmosphere.
