MSS takes out torch rally against custodial death

Hundreds of Mahila Sanrakshan Samiti (MSS) activists today took out a tourch rally in Talab Tillo area here led by Core Committee Member Ms Mamta Singh against, what they said, non-action of government against police officers responsible for the death of Rajneesh Sharma in custody in Srinagar Jail. The rally started from Patta Bohri and passed through various localities of Talab Tillo area and culminated at Talab Tillo Chowk.

Addressing the rally Mamta Singh said that a wave of resentment is glowing among the people of Jammu and among the womenfolk in particular, for not taking any action against the police officers of Srinagar and Jammu responsible for kidnapping, illegal confinement and custodial killing of a Jammu youth Rajneesh Sharma. She said Rajneesh Sharma did not commit any crime but he was killed and on the other hand who have committed crime of killing him are moving freely.

Mamta Singh said that the samiti has been taking out torch rally in different parts of Jammu city to make the government wake deliver justice but unfortunately police force is use to suppress the voice of masses. It is height of inhumane attitude of the government which is condemnable. She declare that samiti will further intensify its agitation till the culprits are not punished.

Usha Choudhary, Pushpa Wazir, Priya Sethi, Sureshta Jamwal, Sheela Handoo, Anuradha Charak, Sunita Kapahi, Parmodh Kapahi, Sanjay Baru, Kulbushan Mohtra, Puran Sharma, Ayodhya Gupta, Munish Gupta, Vikram Wazir, Surinder Sharma and Veeru Ram were prominent among those who took part in the rally.
