ANC assails coalition performance

Assailing the coalition government against it ‘so-called’ one year achievements, the Awami National Conference (ANC) working President, Muzaffar Shah (son of Ex-Chief Minister, late Ghulam Mohammad Shah) today addressing a press conference said, “If they (coalition) are satisfied let they be so but we are not and listed the state on number one in corruption”. He also disclosed the detailed programme to be organized tomorrow in the memory of his father on the eve of his first death anniversary. Governor, N N Vohra will inaugurate the photo exhibition at press club at 3 p.m. When asked by State Observer to comment on Justice (Retd) Sageer Ahmed’s report on Centre-State relation, he did not say anything categorically but replied that the issue will be first discussed in the forum of civil society of this state before reacting on the issue. He also said whether it’s autonomy or self rule or other formulas should be put before the people of this state and civil society to arrive to some kind of solution. On the occasion he said that the first death anniversary of his father Ghulam Mohammad Shad was observed in Srinagar on 6th of this month and it will be also observed here tomorrow at press club lawn at 3 p.m to be organized by the civil society of Jammu. The programme includes launching of G M Shah Foundation, photo exhibition, video presentation to be inaugurated by the Governor, N N Vohra. He said that Ms Khalida Begum wife of late G M Shah will launch the Foundation and will also deliberate over future programme of ANC in J&K. While commenting on troops withdrawal and recent attack at Lal Chowk, he said that J&K Police to be given role while troops be withdrawn from residential areas, orchards and schools.
