Remain united, ABGMS tells Gujjar &Paharis

An urgent meeting of Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha (ABGMS) J&K chapter was held here today presided over by it State President Mr. Eshfaq-Ur-Rehman poswal to review the controversy created by different leaders of Pahari speaking and Gujjar community leaders on the issue of Schedule Tribe status. The meeting unanimously agreed upon the suggestion of Mr. poswal that in-fighting between the two communities is a well thought and deliberate attempt by vested interests to divide and weaken the strength of the unity between Gujjars and Paharis. The only purpose of the politicians from opponent with ulterior motive is to divide the two communities having sizeable population to grind their own axis. He cautioned the leaders of both the communities to beware of hidden agenda of the opponents. He further appealed for unity, justifying that both are living in similar geographical, social and economical hardship. It is well said that politicians thrive by divide and rule but Gujjars-Paharis should not fall prey to their fabricated bait. Prominent members who attended the meeting were Abdul Rashid, Isa Namberdar, Abdul Aziz, Ghulam Abas etc.
