Various deputations called on Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah, here this evening. They presented memoranda of their demands and requested for launching schemes in crucial development sectors for the up-gradation of basic amenities.
The Chief Minister gave patient hearing to all the deputations and assured them of sympathetic consideration of the government for redressal of genuine grievances. He said up-gradation of basic facilities in all areas of the State has been flagged as priority concern and government is keen to fast-track development process in sectors of PHE, R&B, power supply, healthcare and education.
The deputations which met Chief Minister included those from Khunmoh, Pantha Chowk, Athwajan, Shalimar, Batwara, Drugmulla, Sangrama, Anantnag, Baramulla and Budgam districts.
A deputation of Pasmanda Tabkajaat, led by Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Chatwal, gave a memorandum of their demands to the Chief Minister, where under a special package for development and uplift of Pasmanda Tabkajaat was highlighted.
Another deputation of Dental Surgeons also called on the Chief Minister and presented him memoranda of their grievances.

A deputation from Sangrama, led by Mr. Ghulam Nabi Malik, brought into the notice of Chief Minister various demands relating to development of Sangarama constituency. They requested for tehsil status to Wagura and development block to Sangrama. They also raised the issue of development of roads in the area and up-gradation of water supply and healthcare facilities in the area.
