New Drug Policy on anvil: Sham

Two day National seminar on RAPER commence at KU

Minister for Health and Floriculture, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma inaugurated 2-day National Seminar on “Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Education and Research (RAPER) at Kashmir University today.

The seminar was organized by Department of Pharmaceutical Science, University of Kashmir.

Addressing on the occasion, the Minister said that the government is contemplating to formulate the new drug policy in the state in tune with the demand of the time.

He said that two Nursing College will be opened one each at Jammu and Srinagar and in the regard, a meeting was also held with Union Health Minister.

On the occasion, a Souvenir of the Department was also released. He said that the Government is committed to provide better medical facilities to the people of the state especially in far off areas.

Mr. Sharma asked the concerned to work with utmost zeal, dedication and with missionary spirit as the profession is a noble one. He said that all PHC’s and district hospitals have been fully equipped by the latest technology, besides specialists and surgeons are available in these medical institutions.

The seminar was attended by Scholars, Educationists, students and drug organization of Kashmir.

Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, Prof Riyaz Punjabi and Director DIPSAR also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
