Wildlife Department organizes function at Hokersar for conservation of wetlands

The Minister in his speech said that State Government has taken a series of measures for conservation of forests and the wildlife therein. He stressed for involving the people particularly youth for their active support and cooperation for conservation measures.
Mr. R.D. Tiwari in his address said that State’s biodiversity and the rich gene pool resources are a priceless treasure that needs to be conserved.
As a prelude to the Wildlife Week celebrations an inter School symposium was held on the subject “ Conserve Wildlife and its habitat”. Painting competition on Wildlife conservation was also held at Hokersar in which 100 students of various schools participated.
The Minister awarded the winners of the competitions by certificates. He also presented award to Mr. Nazir- be- Nazir for his efforts of conserving wetlands.
