EJAC calls for 1-day strike on Dec 30


J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) today has called for one day-pen down strike on 30th December to press the government for redressal of their demands. However, the proposed strike barred the employees of the essential services to avoid public inconvenience.

Its demand include the implementation of various agreements and SROs, release of arrears of 6th pay commission in favour of state government employees, conversion of COLA into DA, full implementation of 6th pay commission in favour of employees of PSU vide SRO 92, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, removal of pay anomalies of clerical / all other cadre employees, regularization of all adhoc, contractual, consolidated and daily rated workers, uniform HRA to state government employees.

Press statement of the organization urged government and PSU employees to observe total pen- down strike on the said date and hold peaceful demonstrations at their respective office premises. The strike will not include employees of essential services to avoid public inconvenience, it said.
