JKPCSD for removal of encroachment

J&K Pradesh Congress Sewa Dal (JKCSD), District Jammu Chairman, Yash Paul Manhas has said today addressing a press conference here that road on both side in Ware House to Bikram Chowk Road, Gumat to City Chowk Road, Jewel, City Chowk to Shaheedi Chowk area, Lakhdatta Bazaar to Panjtirthi, Jain Bazar to Parade via Purani Mandi and whole of the old city, have been encroached upon by the shopkeepers making it difficult for people and vehicles to move and often leads to jams. He appealed the concerned to remove these encroachments.

He also said besides marriage halls on the road side have added to miseries of people. In marriage seasons often road near marriage halls remained jammed for traffic for hours and some Automobile dealers specially on bye-pass road park hundred of car on National highway and even repair the car on road, causing traffic jams and inconvenience to public and cause of tragic accidents.

He said that already heavy rush of traffic disproportionate to the roads availability, the illegal use of foot path and roads by shop keepers, Banquet hall owners and workshop owners are causing loss of time, energy and further adding to the miseries of all ready over traffic movement.

He urges the Police, Traffic Police, Jammu Municipality and other concerned agencies be instructed to clear up this mess.
